Silly bands?

I'm just going to come right out and say that my main purpose to write this was because my blog looked much too empty, so I thought I would just ramble on about the first thing that came to mind.

Alright, now that I've got my delightful introduction down, let's get to the main topic of today's rant which is SILLY BANDS. Dun Dun DUNNNNNN.
You may look at them and say, "Aw, this one is in the shape of a dog!". Or perhaps if you are even younger you might say "Oooh, pretty colors!". However when I look at them I immediately think, "NO, NOT ANOTHER ONE! THE COMMUNITY IS BEING OVERTAKEN WITH THIS DISEASE! KILL IT BEFORE IT SPREADS!"

See, here is my dilemma with silly bands. On Elementary school kids it is perfectly acceptable and even a little cute in it's own way. When worn by Middle school children it is still cute but noticeably less cute. Now when a thirty-something year old woman at McDonald's has them up to her elbow, that's a problem.
Once you were over the age of thirteen that should have been your first sign to stop wearing the stuff you bought at a drug store.

Just think about it for a second, have you ever seen anyone successful wearing these? No. No, you have not. There is a reason for that.
The reason is simply that they are meant for children.
Just in case you couldn't tell that they were by the bright colors and animal shapes.

Long story short, all the high school kids wearing Silly Bands should rip them off and burn them. Or you know what's even better? Give them to a child. Sharing is caring.

Thank you,
Jenny

  1. I completely agree. Silly Bands have gone way to far and they need to be stopped. I think we could be the right people for the job. What do ya say Jen Jen?
